EXCLUSIVE PRODUCTS
These are used to connect and transfer data between computers and a network. There are different types of network cable, and the appropriate type to use will depend on the structure and topology of your network. The most commonly used types of cable are unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and fibre optic.
Unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable is used in many Ethernet networks. It has four pairs of wires that are housed inside of the lining of the cable. Each pair is twisted into several additional twists to prevent interference from other devices on the network. The structure of this type increases its reliability and helps minimize network failures.
Fibre optic network cables are used to span large distances. As a result, this type of cabling has several layers of protective coating. It also transmits light as opposed to electrical signals like other cables. This makes it an ideal item for network environments that are exposed to large amounts of electrical interference. It also transmits information at high speeds and is therefore used in larger network environments.

Our CAT5e and CAT6 UTP products feature 50μ gold-plated connectors and fully moulded boots with a built-in strain relief. We also supply multimode options which are available in OM1 and OM3 cable types fitted with LC, SC and ST connectors. All of these are fully performance tested and come with a 10 year warranty as standard.
CAT5e / CAT6
Category 6 (CAT6) products are great for "future-proofing" your network and support Ethernet data rates of up to 10 Gigabits/second. Category 5e (CAT5e) cables support data rates of up to 1 Gigabit/second. We stock CAT5e and CAT6 cables in a wide choice of colours and lengths.
Fibre Optic
OM3 Fibre Optic network cables support Ethernet data rates of up to 10 Gigabit/second and are suitable for use with both LED and VCSEL laser light sources. OM1 support data rates of up to 1 Gigabit/second. Our OM3 Fibre Optic network cables are supplied with Aqua coloured jackets and our OM1 products are supplied with Orange coloured jackets.
